Adult Ministries

Worship Services
Worship services are held at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. each Sunday morning. The informal 9:00 service offers a contemporary format, with enthusiastic worship led by a praise band. The 11:00 service is a more formal, traditional service, with music led by the Chancel Choir. The same sermon is given and nursery care is provided at both services. Holy Communion is offered 5 times a year or more.

Call to Prayer
A meeting for all who wish to join in prayer is held each Sunday at 9:15 in the Chapel (Room 212).

Sunday School Classes
Classes for all ages from 3 to adults are held each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Nursery care is provided. The adult classes include:

Men's Group
John Knox Class (Fellowship Hall)
Women's Groups
Grace Bible Class (Room 226)

Christian Fellowship Class (Room 207)
Men and Women
Joy Seekers Class (Room 205)

Tri-M Class (Room 101)

Synago: 20's & 30's (Room 217)

Short periods of fellowship, with refreshments, are offered near the main entrance following the 9:00 service and following Sunday School.


Presbyterian Women
Women of the church are invited to join one of the several 'Circles' which meet monthly for Bible study, refreshments, and fellowship. They meet as follows:

Circle I
1st Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Circle II
1st Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Circle III
3rd Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
Square I Circle
2nd Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Several combined meetings are held each year.


Christian Men's Breakfast
A breakfast for men in the community is held on Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m. from about September through May. A brief message is offered by a guest speaker.


Special Studies
Additional learning opportunities are scheduled at various times. Examples are:

Small Group Fellowship
Small groups of 10-12 people meeting weekly in members' homes for selected studies and fellowship.

A Bible Study
A Bible Study by Pastor Bill Rodahaver on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. during the Youth Club terms. Anyone is welcome to attend.

New Members Classes
Classes for persons wishing to become church members are scheduled from time to time.

Lenten Studies
Weekly during Lent. Usually a series is held at the church and also at Marquis House.


Music
Our worship services are enhanced through the leadership of our choirs:

Chancel Choir
This group rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 and sings at the 11:00 worship services. The choir also presents special programs during the Christmas and Easter seasons.

Chancel Ringers
A handbell choir which provides occasional special music at worship services.


Wise & Alive
Special events are provided for our members who are 55 and older, such as luncheons and bus trips.


Sewing Ladies
A group of women meet Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. at the church for several hours of sewing and fellowship.


Bowling / Golf
These recreational teams meet weekly in season – bowling on Mondays, golf on Tuesdays.


Family Activities
Opportunities for families to enjoy are offered throughout the year. Some of these include Easter and Advent Celebrations, dinners, a church picnic, etc.
